October 14th-16th

It was a challenging year with weather delays and schedule conflicts so we're going out with a bang. We're doing a 2 day race series!!! Do them both....or do one. Doesn't matter. Fun will likely be had! $20 to race in all or any of the divisions both days.  If you've already paid for the Wild Goose Chase, you're covered for one or both of the races.  As with all of our races, they are 100% volunteer so you're race fees go directly back to trail building. This is a great way to get the mountain bike community together to have fun, meet others, socialize, and thank the FM Trailbuilders for all of the work they do to make trails available in the FM Area.

Our goal is to make the races fun!  Challenging....but fun!  There are multiple divisions for everyone so pick your poison.  It's the end of the year, so you should be in the best shape of your season.  Don't be afraid to push yourself a bit.

Friday Night Oct 14th

Non-Competitive Night Trail Ride - MB Johnson Park in North Moorhead

8:00 PM Start Time - No Clocks, No Races, Just a Social Ride in the Dark.  For obvious reasons, lights (front and rear) and helmets are needed.

Saturday Oct 15th

The Flugly - MB Johnson Park in North Moorhead

Schedule:

9:30am - Registration

10:00am - 2 Lap Race - Novice/Advanced Division

11:15am - Expert Race - Joker Format

      -   We're bringing it back!  Here's how it works.  There are 4 cards (1, 2, 3, and Joker).  All racers do one lap to start.  As the leader passes by the lap start/finish table, they will pick one of four cards.  The number shown will indicate how many additional laps will need to be ridden.  This continues until the Joker is picked which indicates one final lap to the finish!  Yep....you don't know how long you'll be riding and that's the fun part!  It could be anywhere between 2 and 8 (8-32  miles).  There will be a table where you can put supplies (food, water bottles, etc) so you don't need to carry it all with you.  This is a very fun race and if you're at all worried, don't be.  The format makes for some interesting tactics from all riders.  Do you go out hard in hopes for a two lapper....or do you pace it?  Who knows!
